The Pierces Pass is a challenging walking track into the Grose Valley to Blue Gum Forest along the Grose River. The start of this track is also at the picnic area on Pierces Pass Rd. This is quite a steep dirt road, but it can be done with a 2WD vehicle.. Hard track. The wonderful walk from Perrys Lookdown into the Blue Gum Forest follows a clear an steep track into one of the region's bushwalking and conservation icons. Allow plenty of time to explore the majestic Blue Gum Forest, looking up the tall trees and enjoying the birds flying through the area. The track is steep and the valley.

The Pierces Pass to Blue Gum Forest walking track is a real… The scenic views are worth the effort on this challenging walk along the Grose River into the rugged wilderness of the Blue Gum Forest. The Pierces Pass to Blue Gum Forest walking track is a real heart starter with expansive views across the northern end of the iconic Grose Valley... Pierces Pass is the most commonly used route into the Upper Grose Valley from the north side of the valley. It was probably constructed in the early 1930s by Bert Pierce and Clarrie Hungerford to access the Blue Gum Forest for cattle grazing, though the track may be much older.
